Update on teletherapy (1/19/2021):
As time progresses, we receive new information about the nature of Covid-19 and vaccine distribution. We are continuing to place a priority on safety through the use of video conferencing for individual and couples therapy. If you would like to learn more about the expected results and unknowns regarding distribution of the Covid-19 vaccines, watch the video below. We will be keeping up with the latest on safety procedures for in person therapy and will make updates on this page when we have any changes to our current policy.
With the increasing uncertainty and stay-at-home orders issued in Austin, Enhancing Intimacy Austin has adjusted to temporarily be a fully online therapy office. We are continuing to offer all of our regular services through a secure video and phone platform. While we have primarily seen our clients in office until now, it turns out that people are loving a lot of things about teletherapy.
No traffic or commute time
Access to therapy for people too far from our office
Easy to use
Being in the comfort of their own space
Research shows that teletherapy appointments can be just as effective as in-person appointments, and we can continue your care without interruption.
Suggestions for an effective therapy appointment:
Identify a quiet, comfortable, and private room
Ensure access to your computer, tablet, or cell phone with a webcam
Give yourself a moment before the session to adjust your focus onto the purpose of your therapy session
We know that there’s widespread concern in our community about the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), and we want you to know that your health is our top priority at Enhancing Intimacy Austin.
