Group Therapy for Affair Partners

Affairs are common. Therapy for the recovering couple is common. There are dozens of books written on the topic of betrayal trauma and affair recovery. For affair partners, however, there is nothing but a chasm of nothingness for them to cling to when an affair ends. Their friends and family often turn away, there’s a lack of self-help literature to reach for. Often affair partners are sidelined, their experiences forgotten, minimized or worst, shamed into silence.

This weekly online therapy group aims to create a safe, empathic space for affair partners to deal with their own experience of an affair. The group is a place to candidly share your experience with other individuals who may relate to parts of your experience.

What You'll Work On

  • Navigating grief and loss about the loss of your relationship

  • managing emotional difficulties of being in an affair

  • Reducing isolation with the affair experience

  • Understanding patterns in your relationships that may have developed over time

  • Expressing your needs clearly and setting healthy boundaries

  • Developing genuine empathy and the ability to truly listen

  • Reducing shame and the feeling that you're alone in your struggles
