Monica is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate who specializes in relationship and sex therapy with couples and individuals. In a warm and inviting environment, she establishes a collaborative and supportive relationship with her clients. Through trust, positive regard, and a soothing demeanor, Monica fosters growth and discovery within those she helps.
People often feel stuck, down, or distressed. These concerns can stem from something deeper, and Monica helps her clients search for the root of those feelings. She supports people with challenges ranging from anxiety to low self-esteem to difficult life transitions, as well as relationship and sex topics.
Some of these include problems with communication, mismatched sexual desires, performance anxiety, feeling stagnant, disconnection, and aging.
Whether you are new to the therapeutic process, more familiar with therapy, or somewhere in between, Monica would love to hear from you.
Approach to Counseling
When people seek help from Monica, she begins by exploring their concern(s), what strategies have or have not worked in the past, and what their aspirations for therapy might be.
During ongoing sessions, she helps her clients uncover and examine patterns in their relationships and everyday lives, encourages them to channel existing strengths, and discover new ones.
Through a collaborative therapeutic process, Monica helps people gain insights into their distress and empowers them to reach their goals.
